Apollo Tyres signs exclusive Vredestein distribution deal with Sweden’s Amring

Apollo Tyres has established an exclusive distribution deal with leading Nordic tyre wholesaler Amring for the supply of its Vredestein premium-brand passenger car, light truck and classic tyres across the markets in Sweden and Finland.

Beginning 1 March 2022, Apollo Tyres will stop direct sales of these Vredestein tyre categories to retailers, and will instead actively support Amring in further building the market share of the Vredestein brand in Sweden and Finland.

Apollo’s OHT and TBR product sales will continue to be sold directly through Apollo Tyres Nordic AB in all of the Nordic markets.

The deal enables Amring to expand its product offering, benefiting from Vredestein’s profile as a respected brand with a track record of over 100 years in the tyre industry. The brand is also becoming better known through its growing portfolio of OEM supply agreements across Europe.

Founded in 1952 in Gothenburg, Amring is Sweden’s leading tyre wholesaler. In 2018, it was acquired by Europe’s largest tyre distributor, Van den Ban, and the Swedish tyre wholesaler Europadäck. Through this acquisition, Amring has become one of the leading tyre and wheel suppliers in the Nordics.
