Apollo Vredestein test winners at Autopromotec 2019

20-05-2019 Apollo, Truck & Bus

Apollo Vredestein will be present at Autopromotec, the international B2B trade exhibition for companies from the automotive aftermarket, in Bologna from 22 to 26 May. In addition to displaying its range of tyres for cars, the company will showcase tyres for heavy commercial vehicles and light trucks from its Apollo and Vredestein brands produced at its new Hungarian location as well as its Enschede plant in the Netherlands.

Models produced under both the Apollo Tyres and Vredestein brand names have done well in the major tyre tests recently. The light-truck tyre Apollo Altrust came first in the latest Adac test of summer tyres for vans in size 215/65 R16. Vredestein brought home a hat trick of honours: the Quatrac 5 came top in the magazine Autobild Allrad’s test for all-season tyres in size 235/55 R9, while the Wintrac Pro won AutoBild Sportscars’ test for winter tyres in size 245/45 R18, and the Sportrac 5 was one of just two passenger car tyres to receive the prestigious rating ‘highly recommended’ in the latest Adac test for summer tyres in size 185/65 R15.

Decisive positioning

Apollo Tyres have decisively positioned themselves in the segment for trucks in 2018 and 2019, being noted in terms of durability and performance on wet surfaces, with a high resistance to impacts, more possibilities for re-treading, and excellent control and road-keeping that are highly appreciated by users.

Above and beyond

Apollo Vredestein celebrated the 110-year anniversary of its Vredestein brand in March by launching the first all-season Vredestein tyre in the ultra-high-performance segment, the Quatrac Pro, designed for cars such as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Volvo XC90 and BMW 5 Series. Available in sizes from 17 to 21 inches, the Quatrac Pro further strengthens Apollo Vredestein’s position as the all-season segment leader in Europe.
